I confirm the problem. A clueless user had 1% of free disk space. Running KDirStat showed the problem to be strigi. The user had 5 Gb of data, the /home/user/.strigi directory has 100 Gb !
I would suggest to give this bug a high priority. Normal users don't know how to hunt for this with df or Kdirstat.
