Public bug reported: Binary package hint: wy60
Ubuntu 8.04 - Hardy Heron Wy60 currently does not depend on ncurses-term, which is rather odd since wy60 comes with a fresh install of Ubuntu 8.04 and absolutely can not emulate (work) without this dependency. So, wy60 is essentially useless without ncurses-term installed. For a workaround try: sudo apt-get install ncurses-term If that does not work, do this: 1) Download the Wyse60 Terminal Description File from Wyse's web site. 2) Export/Compile that file (search google for terminfo commands like infocmp and export, I don't know which one fixes the file but...) 3) Put the file in the correct directory for wy60, found by typing wy60 -c infocmp, if it tells you it could not find the file and shows you the folder it looked in, it's still broken. If it gives you garbage about Wy60: it's working. 3b) You may need to change the permissions on the folder, by using the terminal command " sudo chown usernamehere (insert folder location here) " this will change the folder ownership/permissions 4) Try and try again. ** Affects: wy60 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: emulation terminal wy60 wyse60 ** Tags added: emulation terminal wy60 wyse60 -- wy60 needs dependency on ncurses-term https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/246716 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
