Hi, After upgrading Ubuntu 7.10 to 8.04 LTS, What i observed is, firefox 3.0 consuming more CPU. It also slows down the system performance. Previously i was using firefox. which was good. Build details are as follows: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008061015 Firefox/3.0 When scrolling the web page, it consume much more cpu. Here is the CPU consumptions when i did the top. Pid UID PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 6286 fazlur 20 0 362m 163m 24m R 76 8.1 607:17.69 firefox This is not a one time consumption. Till the time the firefox is running, it consumes more CPU.
