enabling gnome-power-manager is a working workaround on my Ubunntu-8.04 x86 desktop.
the situation was a bit worsened by a hidden entry of gnome-power- manager in my case. I had to remove .config/autostart/gnome-power- manager.desktop first to make it appear again. is there a place to configure a shorter time(out?) after clicking the logout button till presenting the logout menu? It seems to be 50 seconds. What is the name of the program and package who is waiting these 50 seconds? x-session-manager? panel? gnome-applets? -- gnome logout button takes forever https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/187141 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
