Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and make Ubuntu better.
In order to get a better understanding of what might be happening here,
I would like you to install 'bootchart' from the repositories. Bootchart
is a boot sequence auditing tool, and produces a chart showing what
processes were run during boot-up, how long they took and how much CPU
and disk bandwidth they used. Once you have installed bootchart, a new
chart will be saved in /var/log/bootchart each time you boot your
machine. Could you please attach one of these charts to this bug report,
as it may show what process is causing your machine to take so long to
boot.

To install Bootchart, open a terminal (Applications -> Accessories ->
Terminal) and type the following:

sudo apt-get install bootchart

Thanks!
