Public bug reported: uname -a : Linux laptop 2.6.24-19-server #1 SMP Wed Jun 18 15:18:00 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux
/etc/lsb-release: DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu DISTRIB_RELEASE=8.04 DISTRIB_CODENAME=hardy DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 8.04.1" echo $0: bash To protect me from my own mistakes I thought it would be nice to alias the commands rm, mv, and cp and each time ask for interaction. This is when I noticed that the commands mv -i and cp -i actually ignore the -i. I've tested it with --interactive but the same here. There is no problem for rm. I tested it in a vm, on my desktop computer and my laptop and all gave the same result back. ** Affects: bash (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- cp -i and mv -i don't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/247973 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
