Open computer:/// in a nautilus window. Right click on any drive and select Properties. Click on the drive's image (icon) in the properties window button to change the icon to a custom one. After changing the icon, goto System->Preferences->Appearance, click Customize and click Icons tab and select a different icon set. You will notice that the drive's icon you just changed remains unchanged. It remains the same icon that you had set manually.
Screenshots: 1. Normal settings with AER-OS-XK icons active: http://i37.tinypic.com/noh544.jpg 2. Changed the drive icon to cookie: http://i36.tinypic.com/2n88mk5.jpg 3. Changed icon theme to Crashbit, bit drive icon still remains cookie: http://i37.tinypic.com/5dmreq.jpg Note: In (3), all drives except the cookie one changes. Changing the cookie icon back to what it had initially (the AER-OS-XK HDD icon) keeps the HDD icon unchanged on changing icon theme just like the cookie icon is behaving now. -- [Hardy] Drive icons do not change in Computer:/// on changing icon theme when assigned a custom icon. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/248143 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
