False alarm, uninstalling backport modules didn't solved the problem... The laptop stood up for 10 days without locking up, but today did it again... :(
This problem is driving me mad... I'm starting to think the only possible cause for this problem is hardware failure, but this doesn't fit as it started around one of the alphas of hardy and several other pelople complainted of the same issue... How can I help debug the problem, can the dev's give some directions?
