Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

Packages:

network-manager 0.6.6-0ubuntu5
network-manager-gnome 0.6.6-0ubuntu3
network-manager-openvpn 0.3.2svn2342-1ubuntu4
openvpn 2.1~rc7-1ubuntu3.3

I try to setup an OpenVPN connection to our gateway using an X.509
certificate and a private key protected by a passphrase. I can manually
run OpenVPN on the command line to connect, but if I try to use network-
manager using the same keys and options, then there is no dialog asking
for the passphrase. Instead it just says "Cannot connect" :-(. There are
surely much more helpful error messages out there.

This problem makes Ubuntu unusable in our environment. Its highly
important for us to get this fixed asap to give the Linux "road-
warriors" the same functionality as the Windows users.

** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
