I can confirm that this problem is still occuring on my Kubuntu 8.04 AMD64 machine.
Using a ralink rt61 (not using ndiswrapper). Linux lx-p45 2.6.24-19-generic #1 SMP Wed Jun 18 14:15:37 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux filesystem ext3 The problem occurs almost immediatly after I start the downloading of a large file using adept or any torrent client causing the system to hang.
