@Albert Cardona I don't think this is related to java3d init routines, since in don't use any graphics and/or the xorg-driver-fglrx driver.
I did an upgrade today as well... [from dpkg.log: 2008-07-16 08:57:21 status installed libc6 2.7-10ubuntu3] and after rebooting my jboss AS doesn't start anymore.
