I don't think they were aware of the problem when they released it and I am sure they are trying to fix it. But this is the toughest type of bug to fix, especially if you don't have a machine that reproduces.
Another problem is that this thread is somewhat closed because someone set it as "fix released" and they may not be looking at it much. That is why I opened another identical bug, but there is not much activity there, so they don't look at that one either. You should comment there.
