I agree but maybe there should be an option to display the workspaces in rows or columns without affecting them in any other way. As it is, I can't use it, because I would miss the cube of compiz, Expo displays them vertically (thus not taking advantage of my wide-screen) and to have the spaces in columns instead of rows doesn't make sense in a vertical panel configuration.
