Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gcompris

When I run Gcompris, it does not start. If I run from a terminal session
this is what I get:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gcompris

** (gcompris:6179): WARNING **: config_file /home/steve/.gcompris/gcompris.conf
** Message: gcompris_set_locale 'en_GB.UTF-8'

Creating link /home/steve/.kde/socket-blanc.
can't create mcop directory

I've done some digging around and it seems that the problem is that I
have installed some other packages that have installed some Kde
libraries which gcompris detects and tries to use and then fails.

Work Around:
Before starting gcompris run
mkdir /tmp/ksocket-$USERNAME

and then it starts OK:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gcompris

** (gcompris:7177): WARNING **: config_file /home/steve/.gcompris/gcompris.conf
** Message: gcompris_set_locale 'en_GB.UTF-8'
