Hi again ! Just a little message to say that i upgraded to latest linux-image-2.6.24-19-generic_2.6.24-19.36_i386.deb (so it overwrote yours) and after a reboot the problem was here again.
Just to point the fact that the problem still exists in the latest ubuntu kernel update. Hope you will manage to fixe this, i remind you that i'm stil available to test your .deb if you want.
