I'm using Kubuntu Hardy on an HP with the linksys 54G wireless g router and a linksys wireless adapter and on startup I only get connected to my router at 1 Mb/s. However, if I run "iwconfig wlan0 rate 54M" my speed is very fast. I can't figure how to get it to get high speeds on startup, which is a pain.
