Thanks, Alberto. I will try the workaround. Just for info, in newer Ubuntu versions the nvidia package provided by official repositories works as supposed to be and that package is enough for me, with 3D and good performance. Tested in 3 different computers this week, when upgrading from Gutsy to Hardy. Thanks again.
