Public bug reported:

If I insert any USB device into my laptop, the systems hangs instantly and then
I'm forced to reset the computer.
If a deviced, like a mouse, is plugged before startup the cursor lags quite a
bit. Doing a lsusb shows that all devices have been detected OK.

I have tried booting with acpi=off and noapic, hoping that would help,
but without luck.

This problems occurs in both Dapper LTS and recent RC's of Edgy. Hoary
and Breezy bots works great.
