Starting from version 2.3.35-1, slapd uses the epoll interface, rather
than the select interface. As for the version on dapper, your proposal
doesn't fit the criteria for a Stable Release Update
(https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates). Thus I'm marking this
bug as "Won't Fix".
