Hi Everyone I have had the same problems with 8.04 and the opensource driver rtl8187 (same motherboard asus p5k-e). I switched today to 8.10 and unfortunately the problem still exists. The connection get lost, sometimes reconnect itself. But over all it is way slower than with ndiswrapper.
[With ndiswrapper (win98 driver) and networkmanager it worked flawlessly in 8.04 and does now in 8.10.] I keep an eye on it to see if it always reconnect or just sometimes.
