More details please. Does it happen with no command-line options, including not torrent, or with specific torrents? What architecture are you using? What version of ubuntu? What version of wxgtk do you have installed, which python version? When you run it from the command-line you get absolutely no output, it just instantly crashes and returns you to a new prompt?
