Hi,

After asking a question (see
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/39973 ) I recognized my
problem in this bug report. My x-server apperently became unstable after
a kernel update that came together with the latest EnvyNG update last
week. I guess I simply have to wait untill my videocard will properly be
supported. Two questions remain:

1) How can I restore the situation before I installed EnvyNG and the driver in
order to have a stable x-server again.
2) I can live with the solution suggested in this link
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/NvidiaManual but I do not understand the
instructions at "Kernel and Mesa Updates". Can somebody explain to me in more
detailhow to boot into the new kernel and how and where I have installed the
NVIDIA installer file? I am quite new to Ubuntu/linux.

Cheers,

BLoesum
