Public bug reported: I have an Acer Extensa 4420 laptop with Ubuntu 8.04. It has a Euro key that is not only next to the 5 key, but is also an exclusive key above the arrow keys. When I click it, my /var/log/messages says this:
kernel: [ 1209.761519] atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0xb3 on isa0060/serio0). kernel: [ 1209.761526] atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e033 <keycode>' to make it known. and repeats it. I guess one set is for key down and another for key up -- but that's a guess. I would like to click that key and have it work in Firefox and GNOME apps, but instead I get nothing and my /var/log/messages has this atkbd error like you see above. (As well, it has a $ key next to the arrows as well and because I can already do Shift 4 to get $, I'd love for that key to display a British Pound. This would help me a lot when interacting with my European clients as a PHP web developer.) ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Acer Euro key doesn't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/251354 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
