I can confirm this also, on Kubuntu Edgy RC i386. Add new task, click Apply -> get dialog box "Resource Selection - Kontact" with 2 choices, both say "Default KOrganizer resource". Task gets added twice. Same thing happens with new Calendar entry.
Problem only occurs on my Edgy i386 installation on a laptop. Don't see it with Edgy AMD64 on desktop. -- New To-dos are duplicated.
