You entered "(sda0)" as the device to which to install GRUB. (sda0) is
not a valid GRUB device name; it's a sort of curious mix between Linux
device name syntax and GRUB device name syntax, and has ended up not
being valid for either. All GRUB hard disk devices are hd* regardless of
their Linux device name, so you probably just wanted (hd0).

Recent versions of Ubuntu validate this, although I'm not sure Kubuntu
does as yet.
