I installed alpha3 on an AMD x64 machine. I selected all available channels, and made sure all volume levels were maximum and that nothing was muted. I tested the front mic with gnome sound recorder and was able to hear a playback of my recording.
This is very promising. However, I had originally reported this issue on a Intel x64 machine, so I would like to reserve final judgment until I am able to test the mic on that machine. I will also play around with the volume settings on various channels since the playback was fuzzy, possibly caused by maximizing all channel volumes. One other note, when I select the input source as "mic," but my microphone is *actually* connected to the "*front* mic" input (not "mic"), I can still faintly hear my recording during playback-- I don't know if t his is a software issue, or a hardware issue. -- Microphone input doesn't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/99305 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
