Hi chris. Thank you ever so much for your prompted reply. I have been contemplating the change to Ubuntu for a while now and I finally did it last week. Unfortunately, I am a MEGA novice when it comes to linux based OS. I have tried to cut and paste the error message but it simply will not allow me to paste!! Last night I got so impatiant and decided to re format the harddrive and begin with a new install which means that the system is running fine now (so far). I will still update/report anything in the future though. Thank you ever so much for all the work and time you input into this to give people like me the freedom of choice. Have a very nice day Regards Mostafa
