Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ttf-opensymbol
I'm not sure if that can be considered as a bug. When upgrading from 6.06 to 8.04 It apeared the following Serious Error please inform and attach /var/log/dist-upgrade/main.log /var/log/dist-upgrade/apt.log I restarted on "recovery mode" because of a toshiba laptop problem I could not start X. And I was unsuccessfully trying to do a "dpkg --configure --pending" but it hangsup all times "setting-up ttf-opensymbol". Nothing else was said. After a long research, I found that it was unsuccessfully retrying to write to hard disk that had errors. So after using a e2fsck on hard disk I could successfully finish dist-upgrade. Unfortunately, due to a problem posted on: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=587668 and that can be applied also to a 6.06 to 8.04 upgrade, I could not start X and inform untill now.
