I'm still having this issue, while I would presume that the bugfix would have gotten to the mirror by now. the current update with ubuntu through "sudo aptitude reinstall thunderbird" is: thunderbird_2.0.0.16+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.04.1_i386.deb
