Advice on how to recover from this would be helpful. When I try to unock the User Settings with my sudo password I get this dialogue: "Could not authenticate" An unexpected error has occurred. I've manually removed the user admin from: /etc/passwd /etc/shadow /etc/sudoers But when I look at: /etc/group I find: admin:x:1001: Which appears as if admin now has user ID and not a group ID -- Users and Groups : allowed me to create a user called Admin https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/254663 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
