It's been happening for a looong loong time. Any fix yet? Im surprised this is not solved. This bug have other variants like, in a Compaq C730LA you close and open the lid, and the screen returns but REally messed UP.
Only way to fix it is hiting ctrl+alt+f6 and ctrl+alt+f7 back.
