Hi Murray, I'm going to try to escalate this issue to the Intel contacts I have. We'll want to try to get a patch against Intrepid first and then see what can be done in terms of backporting to Hardy. I feel this sort of issue would qualify for a Stable Release Update - http://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates but we'll need to isolate the fix first. I know that doesn't help much with an immediate solution so thanks for you patience.
