Testing on a standard 64-Bit system, I can confirm this bug. After
updating first, neither the mouse nor the keyboard worked. Having
installed all available updates, the mouse works, but the keyboard still
does not. I cannot log in. What do I do?

In some forum someone advised to add the following to
/ect/X11/xorg.conf:

----
Section "ServerLayout"
        Identifier "Default Layout"
        Screen "Default Screen"
        Inputdevice "Generic Keyboard"
        Inputdevice "Configured Mouse"
EndSection
----

>From my limited knowledge, this appears to me like a functional but
rough workaround, but I would rather fix the system clean. How do I do
that?
