Public bug reported: There is no package for fwknop and fwknopd
fwknop stands for the "FireWall KNock OPerator", and implements an authorization scheme called Single Packet Authorization (SPA). This method of authorization is based around a default-drop packet filter (fwknop supports both iptables on Linux systems and ipfw on FreeBSD and Mac OS X systems) and libpcap. http://cipherdyne.org/fwknop/ ---- AFAICS this is has to be splitted like openssh-client and openssh- server, it provides a great security enhancement for server admins, as they can have certain ports closed while not in use and only open them when needed, like ssh access or web-ui access to raid-controllers . ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- There is no package for fwknop and fwknopd https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/255700 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
