Daniel: I'd say you are partly wrong since I have gotten black-and-white working (see comment 23). I tested that on two different TVs with the same result: -i810 gives colour and is all well, -intel was black-and- white. I don't have the hardware any longer (got a new one changing jobs which doesn't have TV-out) so I haven't been able to test for a while and I'm sure things have moved quickly here.
