I was about to post the exact same bug report. This appears to be a race condition between ndiswrapper and WPA, but I'm not looking at the source. This is very sad, but I actually have to start Eclipse or gtk- recordMyDesktop to get my dual core system to connect to some WPA networks. I've been keeping the videos as footage of how much I hate this bug, since I have an integrated mic.
