UPDATE: This is interesting, I also got it to occur recently upon pressing CTRL + ALT + BCKSPC, which immediately triggered the same event. Would this signify that the problem has something to do with X? I'll try again later today to see if I can duplicate it, I don't want to do it know and risk waking the whole house up!
