Wow, suspend to RAM is finally working on my computer. It didn't work with any earlier kernels on Hardy and Gutsy. I'm using a 32-bit Hardy with 2.6.24-19-generic as the kernel and this is the Celeron M version of the laptop.
Looks like supporting one version of this hardware doesn't give full suspend support to every 6720S system.
