That's good news that there's a solution in concept now. However, alpha-4 is coming out tomorrow and I'm guessing this solution won't be ready in time. How about we revert back to non-input-hotplug for keyboards for alpha-4. Then we can switch back once the input-device properties and libxklavier fixes are available.
