I have a similar problem. When printing, the job seems to print successfully, but the job is left pending in the print queue with status "processing". When I try to cancel the job from the print queue, I get the message: There was an error during the CUPS operation: 'client- error-not-possible'. The printer is a HP C4180 and is connected directly to my computer. I'm running Kubuntu Hardy, It worked flawlessly in Feisty and Gutsy, but was broken in Hardy. I have to restart the printer to clear the print queue.
>From the cups error log, the only thing that seems unusual is the message "D [13/Aug/2008:20:37:46 +0200] [Job 49] prnt/backend/hp.c 496: unable to connect hpssd socket 2207: Connection refused" ** Attachment added: "cupserror.log" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/16748087/cupserror.log -- cups probelm "client-error not possible' https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/194133 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
