I found a way to reproduce this bug, I'll try to reproduce it with the
new version.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dmesg > dmesg.txt
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ mkdir somedir
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ cp dmesg.txt somedir/
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gedit somedir/dmesg.txt 
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ rm -r somedir/
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gedit dmesg.txt
