I did the same thing... I added the 3rd party repository for AWN from the AWN offical website...
Then Hardy decided it would include AWN in the offical Ubuntu Repositories because so many users installed it manually. Now, itstead of putting blame .... how about a work around? \ Below is what I did to fix this problem. First you need to fix the BROKEN apt-get / dpkg manager by running. sudo apt-get remove libawn-bzr awn-core-applets-bzr avant-window- navigator libawn0 awn-manager python-libawn-bzr Now, remove your OLD awn /etc/apt/sources.list entry (if you had it inserted), because now AWN is in the Ubuntu repositories. Then update sources: sudo apt-get update Next, install AWN via regular hardy UBUNTU respoitories. sudo apt-get install avant-window-navigator Or alternative installers via the link below. http://wiki.awn-project.org/DistributionGuides regards, matt k. -- package libawn0 0.2.1-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: trying to overwrite `/usr/lib/libawn.so.0.0.1', which is also in package avant-window-navigator https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/173020 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
