Public bug reported: I have a problem (already submitted) with the savage driver and wanted to temporaly switch to vesa driver. But displayconfig-gtk fails when trying to change the driver.
When the app is started these are the settings shown: Screen -> Plug'n'Play Graphics Card -> Graphics card (S3 Savage (generic, sw_cursor)) Driver: None Video Memory: Then I select Driver (by name) vesa on the popup and when I click Ok the following error appears on the console: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo displayconfig-gtk [sudo] password for jordi: [] Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/displayconfiggtk/widgets.py", line 172, in on_videoram_changed self.card.setVideoRam(combobox.get_active()) File "/var/lib/python-support/python2.5/displayconfigabstraction.py", line 1220, in setVideoRam screen._resyncResolution() File "/var/lib/python-support/python2.5/displayconfigabstraction.py", line 1817, in _resyncResolution (preferred_width,preferred_height) = self.getAvailableResolutions()[-1] IndexError: list index out of range And the Driver continues pointing to None. The xorg.conf file is not modified when I click Ok to exit the app. ** Affects: displayconfig-gtk (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- displayconfig-gtk fails when trying to select a different driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257990 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
