Changing the "SATA Native Mode" BIOS setting from Enabled to Disabled does not affect anything. When I installed the system, SATA Native Mode was Enabled.
BIOS is of the latest available version. During the boot of the session of which I made the debug prints above, the delay was about 55-59 seconds. Afterwards, 4 repeated boots all had a delay of about 25-29 seconds. From now on I will try to take time every boot and see if there is something I forget of which affects the delay. During the delay, the progress bar still moves back and forth, but a lot slower than usual. In a few days, I will try to boot the system using the Live CD which I installed the system from, and see if the same delay occurs. If it is of any interest, I could make a video of the boot. If there is anything else you need to know, I'll be happy to submit it! -- "Waiting for root file system" delay https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/247717 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
