See the upstream bug report. They say it's due to a previous bug.

I've sent them the requested files, but no answer yet.

I've even ended up with some extensions in the state "get
updated/removed/installed after Firefox has been restarted", but they
did not change after restart.

So I removed my "extensions" directory and re-installed the extensions I
want (and discovered some new ones :))

I don't need the patch now anymore.

Seems like there's been some internal corruption.
