Oh, I should read the docs more carefully if I point someone there. You
are right and you do not have to try them.

Did you used a hyphen or an an equal sign? In the bug report you wrote
acpi-off, but if you want to use it as parameter you have to use
acpi=off.

But probably it is an not an ACPI problem. The error message talked
about APIC (Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controller) and not ACPI
(Advanced Configuration and Power Management Interface).

I have searched for your bug and found following possible solutions:

1) Boot with irqpoll parameter.

2) Boot with noapic parameter.

3) Try do deactivate IO-ACPI in the BIOS.
