Public bug reported: Binary package hint: compiz
This is on a freshly installed fully updated intrepid ibex 8.10 alpha. I expect to be unable to resize a window so any part of it will be underneath a panel. (ie, Ubuntu icon Applications Places System ) When resizing a window by grabbing the top of the pane you can easily drag it above the top panel. Upon releasing the mouse the title bar is inaccessible. Unless one is aware of the ability to Alt-Left Click and drag to move the window it will be stuck. The window can also be resized under the bottom panel, though this is less of an issue. Turning off visual effects (switching to metacity) causes the window to refuse to grow beyond the top/bottom panel as expected.
