i have a Compal IFL90 laptop and sound didnt work at all since Ubuntu Gutsy. However the mic still does not work in Hardy. I tried the live cd of Alpha 4 of Intrepid a few days ago and i increased the mic boost and it finally worked with a headset. The internal mic still ain't working. So there is some progress but there seems much to be done. Would be interesting if the mic works for some of you guys with Intrepid Alpha 4 and a headset.
