Sorry, if there was a form field for this, I must have missed it. Here you go: Currently, I am using 8.04 with the 2.6.24-21-generic kernel. I don't know what package contains the code responsible, but xfdesktop or something about hal is quite likely. To be honest, I have no idea what further information you need about this issue. Do you need package information or further data about my system? Please ask! And yes, this is still an issue, as this popup window appears everytime I try to unmount any USB connected device via the desktop icon. The terminal command just works nicely.
