Sorry for the delayed response here. Do you know if there have been any
efforts to get this driver submitted and accepted into the upstream
mainline kernel? Maintaining out of tree patches/drivers produces quite
a bit of extra work for the Ubuntu kernel team. As such they typically
require evidence of upstream submission before considering to maintain
community patches locally. I'll reassign this to them to consider.
